your drawings are usually drawn by freehand first?? you are so good!! much much better than I do. :)
I like and actually bery curious about yuor "pen" skills. they are all so lookin good, with combinations of thin(soft) and thick (strong) touch.
I usually draw pencil first, then trace witt Pilot Drawing Pens... but I always ruin... so I'm thinking that must be the cheap paper's fault. :( i use nomal papers for copy... what papers do you use?

Yes, that's how I've been drawing all my life directly in ink by freehand. ^.^ I don't know why or how, but I think since I draw in ink, my hand doesn't allow for many mistakes whatsoever (it's been trained that way not to make mistakes). If I draw in pencil, I make more mistakes than I would in ink! It's crazy I know, but it is how my hand works. I also hold my pen differently from other people. People hold pen's with a pinching type hold, but I lay my fingers over the barrel (something like how you would hold a chopstick, but even less holding than that). It's hard to explain hold I hold a pen (or color pencil, regular pencil, stylus, etc) unless you see me in person doing it. ^^;

Aw, you can do backgrounds, cityscapes, motorcycles and I can't do that stuff. I haven't really tried either, but I don't have much patience for doing skyscrapers (I have no clue how to draw straight angled objects right). Even if I look off reference it comes out all wrong ^^;

I use Pilot pens too, they are the best kind (and only kind I use). I use really expensive paper (usually about $18 USD / 1653.24 Yen for 500 sheets), laser copy photo paper around above 96+ whiteness.
I also have some cardboard thickness type paper, but haven't used any yet (they are even more expensive with less sheets per pack).

whoa!! your hand is great! you might be trained so many times. (I think you draw more often than I do--- watching your gallery's size!) Anyways, you know how to use pens really good!
and.... as for using chopsticks, I bet you are better than me. I grew without it coz my right hand was really clumsy when I was a kid. so still bad at it than any other foreigners I've ever seen. (I was leftie but trained to write and eat with right. ...... and my schools didn't have chopsticks but spoons, forks... it's weird.)

Yes I draw an awful lot ^^ I hardly use chopsticks actually, I was just using them as a vague example on how I hold a pen (as my sister told me that's not the way she holds one nor has seen anyone hold one like I do). ^^; I thought everyone held a writing instrument like I did, but I guess I'm wrong as I did indeed see I do hold pens differently than other people. It's very strange; maybe it's the secret to why I draw the way I do? I'm not sure ^^;
